February was short but sweet!
Even though February was a shorter month, we packed in plenty of fun. We celebrated Valentine’s Day with parties, games, and Valentine card exchanges. Some classes even had pizza parties! The Mustang class got creative and made Valentine card bags. They also enjoyed a special lunch with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, carrots with ranch, chips, drinks, and dessert.
March brought lots of excitement and learning.
During March we explored topics like transportation, springtime, and art appreciation. One of the highlights was our week of building Leprechaun traps! Each class picked special spots in their rooms to try and catch the sneaky little guy. Unfortunately, he got away again this year—but he left behind plenty of evidence! Toy bins were dumped out, glitter and tiny footprints were everywhere, and chairs were knocked over. Maybe next year we’ll catch him!
Every classroom celebrated with a fun St. Patty’s Day party, and there was plenty of food for everyone. The Mustangs even had a gold coin hunt out on the playground. One of Mr. Leprechaun’s helpers made a surprise visit to Discoveries and dropped gold coins from the sky! After the drop, he sprinted up a hill and disappeared.
