The summer months have been full of sunshine, discovery, and hands-on learning at Discoveries Preschool!
Throughout June and July, our classrooms spent time exploring the wonders of nature in our garden, where the children planted seeds, cared for flowers, and observed how plants grow and change. Watching their gardens flourish gave them a chance to practice responsibility, patience, and curiosity while connecting with the world around them.
One of the biggest highlights of the summer was our exciting Water Day! Children explored the many properties of water through fun sensory activities, games, and outdoor play. Splashing, pouring, experimenting, and laughing together made for a memorable day while encouraging teamwork, problem-solving, and scientific exploration.
As Independence Day approached, we celebrated the Fourth of July with stories, songs, and festive red, white, and blue art projects. These activities helped introduce the children to our country’s birthday in an age-appropriate way while giving them opportunities to express their creativity and learn through play.
Every activity throughout the summer was designed to inspire curiosity, build confidence, encourage collaboration, and nurture a lifelong love of learning. We can’t wait to see what adventures the rest of the year brings!
