October 2024 Activities and Updates

Hello Discovery families!

October was a great month! We had Fall Fest, Halloween parties, all of which I hope your children enjoyed.

In the Mustangs we had vomiting pumpkins, mummy wrapping, balloon popping, brains for lunch (AKA, Spaghetti), frozen banana ghosts, ghoul punch, and cookies.

If you happen to miss Fall Feast, let me tell you a little about what we did. We closed down the parking lot, put up game booths, with prizes, we had a hot dog meal deal and popcorn. The kids and staff were dressed up in their costumes. We also had a raffle, which was won by Josh.

November was another great month! The Mustangs had a family project, which was to disguise a Turkey! We had a Barbie, Pikachu, a bowl of vegetables, a cowboy, Minnie mouse, the Grinch, a princess, a farmer and Sprinkles.

The classrooms had their Thanksgiving parties. Alligators, Monkeys, and Mustangs had a Thanksgiving feast, with lots of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls, and pumpkin pie! Most of the kids napped really well that day. Now we are into December, which is a busy time for our classrooms, as we are preparing for Christmas. The kids are working very hard at creating wonderful gifts for their families. Some of our classroom Elves showed up in the classrooms and they are already being NAUGHTY!

Until next time, keep on learning and having fun!!!!!! Ms. Nancy
